Our little Faith joined us January 5th. What a special little girl she is.

Here is the birth story

After a full 40 weeks of carrying her, I decided to get my labor started a day after her due date. When my midwife made the appointment with the hospital, I hit a full panic mode. Tears were shed, we would no longer be a family of 3. I had no idea how Daxton would do without me for 3-5 days and I was so worried that something would be wrong with her. The time I was supposed to be at McKay Dee was 9:00 am. That gave me one more night to tie up loose ends, mop my floor, dust my walls, spend time with Dax. Anything to get my mind off of what was going to happen. I had had my bags packed for days, expecting her any minute.

I was induced into labor about 10:30 am and I was dialated to a 3. I got my epidural at 12:45 and my midwife broke my water at 1:30. I totally expected a long labor after that. Daxton took 10 hours to get here at this point. I told my mom that she should come around 5 and it would still be awhile before Faith would be born. She said she would just be on call and play it by ear. By the time 3:45 rolled around, I was at a 10! Holy cats! I wasn't ready! We called my mom, she left instantly. My midwife arrived at 4:15. My mom arrived at 4:25. Faith was born at 4:28 pm. Perfect timing eh? She swallowed a little bit of meconium and the cord was around her neck but neither of these caused a problem, THANK GOODNESS! One push, pretty darn easy delivery. PERFECT baby.

Sorry to bore you with a nothing exciting birth story, but I would prefer it that way!

Christmas Time

What a fun Christmas we had this year. Daxton has started to understand who Santa is and loves him. We had a pretty low key holiday, hoping I wouldn't go into

labor. Christmas with a child is so much fun!

Since Christmas was on a Sunday this year, we let him open his

gifts from us on Saturday morning.

As most of you know, our little bundle of joy recently arrived. We have been working overtime to get her (and Daxtons) room done. We finished with 2 days to spare! Here's a look at her room. (I have to note that Dax LOVES to jump on her bed so it doesn't stay looking nice for long, notice the wrinkly blanket?) I'll try to post more pictures soon including Daxtons new room, which he absolutely loves!

Dax has been so stinkin cute lately! He says the cutest things and loves to be with his mama, which I can't complain about.

We have had a great crop of dinner plate Dahlias this year. This is our biggest one so far, it's 11 inches across!

One morning while I was cleaning, this little guy decided to make a train with all of his stuffed animals and chairs. He was so proud! After the train, we had to put a diaper on all of his animals and toys, even his tiny tractors. Then he wanted to put them all to bed! He's going to be a great help with his new little sister!

Some of the cutest things he has done lately are~

He says THANK YOU MOM for everything! Helping him onto a chair, getting him a treat, buckling his carseat etc..

If anyone coughs or sneezes he comes up and says ok? Over and over again until you say I'm ok Dax!

When he gets hurt he comes up to me and says OK Dax? Thats our cue to say are you ok? He quickly follows with OK

This also applies to all his toys if they take a tumble. We quickly hear OK tractor? Ok Truck?

He LOVES to pray and reminds us to pray often. He repeats the last word or two of every sentence and as we're wrapping up our prayers he YELLS "MAYMEN" this gets especially comical at church 4 times during Sacrament meeting!

Well, here I am at 6:30 AM on a Sunday morning, AWAKE! Because of my random sleeper toddler you may ask?

NOPE!

Because of a stupid arm ache.... What is a pregnant mother to do when she can't take Ibuprophen! I think I may have pinched a nerve in my neck or shoulder and it's pretty dang annoying not being able to sleep when said toddler IS sleeping through the night...

SO I decided I might as well document my pregnancy thus far.

26 weeks

BABY

Weight: 2lbs 1oz (5 days ahead of schedule)

Gender: A GIRL!

Very active and healthy! We had a little scare at 22 weeks when I went for my targeted ultrasound. When the tech was examining the heart, she couldn't find the pulmonic heart valve. She reassured me that everything was probably fine and that she wanted me to come back for a follow up at 26 weeks... So I did and after 45 minutes of examining my baby, she found every chamber, valve and vessel that she exists in a healthy heart just to reassure this nervous mama! All is well!

Possible Names: Lily, Jersey, Faith (may favorite this week) Bella, Ellie. Just to name a few. Girls names are tough!

Mom

Weight gain/loss: Still down 2 lbs but that is changing quickly because I'm getting my appetite back... And a HUGE appetite at that! I'm trying to control myself though. I did however have to break out my maternity pants and boy are they comfortable!

Cravings: PEACHES! I swear I have eaten a whole bushel all by myself! I'm sure lucky to live where the BEST peaches are grown!

What I miss: Not walking like a turkey

Complaints: I have many complaints, but not because of this baby.

I HATE ALLERGIES!!!!!!!!!

I cant sleep very long without getting a stuffy nose, plugged ears achey arms... What is a girl to do? My yard has suffered big time this fall and poor little Dax has to play inside most of the time so I can stay sane. My sweet husband has to hear about every little change in my symptoms and yesterday he said, "I can't wait until you get your allergy shots so you wont be so miserable (AKA He wont have to hear about it any more). I usually can keep them under control but I'm nervous to drug myself up with this little babe inside of me!

She moves like crazy and I love it! I miss my energy some days but others, I feel like I can do everything on my list... And then crash. I am enjoying my pregnancy at this point and I'm thankful for the opportunity to carry this little girl.

PS We bought a minivan, I am one of THOSE moms... And I LOVE IT!

20 weeks

Can you believe it?

I sure can't!

Here's a little update on my pregnancy...

(not that you REALLY care but it might be kind of fun for me to look back on one day)

Gender: Girl (hopefully)

"she" had her legs crossed on my last visit so we couldn't get a good look this time

Weight: 10oz

Expected Due Date: January 6th

Originally January 4th

Mom: Feeling pretty great for the most part. Lots of weird random cramping and random nausea. Smells really get to me when my nose isn't clogged

Weight gain/loss: -7 lbs (I contribute that to the "nausea")

Cravings: Change every day but today it was a peach smoothy which I could only finish half. Others have been a sip of mountain dew, pizza plus breadsticks, tomato sandwich, lime ricky, icecream, taco soup and corndogs. But usually only once or twice and then I'm ready to move on to something else!

What I miss: Being able to sleep through the night and walk normally.

(not too many complaints so far! It could be SOOO much worse!)

I can't believe my baby is 2! We had a little family celebration tonight. I can't believe how much loving support we have in our families to spoil this little guy! Here are a few pictures of the event.

~He loves to help mommy no matter what we are doing. He loves to help with laundry, dishes, sweeping the floor etc

~ He loves to run. He'll run the length of our house over and over again

~He gets so excited when we have company, he starts marching and jumping around with a big smile on his face

We sure love this little guy. He IS our world and we're so thankful to have him in our lives!

First of all, I would like to say I'm thankful for my sons health! He has nothing life threatening and things could be so much worse... On that note though, I just wish I could figure out how to make him feel better all of the time. When I was pregnant I made sure to do everything I could to ensure a healthy baby, and thats what we got, a very healthy baby! At 4 months things seemed to start changing for him. He started getting countless ear infections, which turned into ear tubes (twice, once at 8 months and again at 16 months) croup (spelling), rotovirus, mouth sores, bronchitis (multiple times) strep throat, and now he battles something similar to asthma. It flares up really bad when we're around smoke, whether it's someone smoking or a campfire. The doctors never have told me what he has, just that he needs breathing treatments frequently. I feel like this kid has been introduced to more medicine than any 2 year old should. He sure is a trooper though, he takes his meds like a champ and doesn't mind his nebulizer treatments (most of the time). I'm tired of him having to deal with all that is thrown at him. I know one day things will be better and all I can do is go day to day. I often read blogs of people with children that are either very sick, injured, or not with us anymore and I can't help but count my blessing so once again, I have to say...

I'm thankful for all I have and that I have a little boy to take care of!

I got to choose what we did for Easter weekend this year because it fell upon my Birthday!

SO, we spent the weekend in SLC with some friends! What a fun weekend we had. Dax had a GREAT time at the zoo... And apparently so did his DAD!

He LOVED the elephants! We couldn't get him to look at the camera even for a second! He wanted to just hop in the pen and say hello! He kept patting his leg and saying HE (here, thats what he says when he calls our dog) It was so stinking cute! I couldn't help but think I was the happiest girl in the world at that moment.

How could I not get a picture of the "famous" Lion fountain? I'm sure we all have a picture by this guy at some point in our lives..

My Brother and sister in law were nice enough to welcome us to their home last weekend for some fun in the sun! It was a much needed "break" for all of us!

Daxton had a wonderful time playing in the 70 degree weather, look no jacket!

We loved to visit the duck pond!

The ducks were gracious enough to share their bread with Giana :)

Lots of wagon rides were in store with uncle Brad

We played at the park a lot! We came across this one with awesome climbing rocks...

18 months

I Cant believe Dax is getting so stinking big! He's learning cute new things every day. We have been spending a lot of time this winter at the local duck pond. Its especially nice to go there because there is a fence between Dax and the ducks so he doesnt have to worry about the ducks "attacking" him while he holds a bag of bread.

Our awesome friends The Orgills joined us one afternoon for the festivities... Isn't Dax's friend Jane so darling?

One of the funny things Dax has been doing lately is posing for the camera with his squinty eyes...

Dax got this cute bike from his grandma Pam for his Birthday. He has had a ton of fun on it this winter while we're stuck inside!

Some of the cute things he's learned over the past few weeks are...

He loves balls and he says "set go!" when he throws them.

He will look in the Fridge and say "HUMMMM" (I wonder where he got that from :)

When he drinks out of a cup, he'll finish it off with a refreshing AAAAAHHHH

When he looses his ball he lifts his arms and says "lolo go?" (where'd it go?) and sometimes he hides it behind his back and says it.

He LOVES to climb and has NO FEAR! He especially loves slides and will go down with no assistance. (after saying "Set GO" of course!)

He brings me his shoes and says SHOOOOS when he's ready to get out of the house.

We're so happy to be parents and love our little guy more than life itself!

I have to apoligize (once again) in advance, this post is simply to catch up and it's not going to be that great!

Christmas is getting so fun around our house! Dax doesnt quite understand the whole concept but he did LOVE his new wagon!

We ate breakfast at Grandma Westovers house and he actually sat on her lap!

Later in the day we went to Uncle Gregs house for some great company and a pinata! Dax LOVED hitting it and grabbing the candy! (thanks again Jill for the cute pictures! You're an AWESOME photographer!)

We have had such a FUN and BUSY summer so far! We have definately made some fun memories with Daxton. Sorry for the picture overload!

We've been to a couple different pools and Dax LOVES the water! Even when he was a brand new baby he loved the water and I dont remember a time that he has cried in the water

We have been spending a lot of time in our back yard! We got a Vinyl railing around our deck and got some more sod (almost all of our yard is grass now! YIPEE NO MORE WEEDS!)

We've managed to fit church in (most weeks) ;)

We have been camping a couple times with good friends! Daxton loves his little friend Lola, What a cutie!

At the beginning of June Brian and I got to hike up to Ensign peak to introduce the theme for my moms girls camp. It was a really fun experience but next time I hike, I gotta remember to not eat a full Cafe Rio meal right before :)

So, As you can see, We have had a great summer so far! We have definately enjoyed being new parents and experiencing summer firsts with our little guy.

Christmas to Easter... OOPS!

Daxton is 8 months old! He's so big and on the move! He laughs at almost anything and sleeps through the night for the most part. I LOVE staying home with him! I feel like the luckiest gal in the world! Here's a little of what we've been up to since Christmas (oops :)

This year for Easter we went to the Dunes....

And to my Grandma Robinsons for an Easter egg hunt and to fly kites. It was really nice to spend time with friends and family.

Last month Daxton had surgery to get tubes put in his ears. We had them done at the New Tremonton hospital we were VERY impressed. A couple of weeks before that we had a little scare with this little guy. He started breathing VERY shallow and fast one night so we took him to the emergency room. He ended up having a form of RSV and pnemonia. Luckily we caught it early so he didn't have to stay at the hospital. He was one miserable kid though, Brian stayed home from work to help me with him. What a great husband!

Thanks for the "big boy underoos" Jenny! We just had to try them on!

Daxton Had is 4 month check up on December 8th, he's 27 1/2 inches long and 16lbs 1oz very happy and healthy! He's laughing like crazy, he rolls over and is learning to hold his bottle. He's almost always happy, and such a blessing in our lives!

For Thanksgiving this year we stayed here in Brigham at my parents house for the first time ever! We had a great time with our family. And Brian got his first taste of Mashed potatoes... He wasn't too fond of them at first, but he got the hang of them on the second go round.

I didn't have a chance to finish my last post so heres the rest of what we've been up to!

This is Brians new "yard toy" it has come not a minute too soon! When we put in our front yard a couple years ago, we put together 1 lawn mower from 3 that were donated to our cause... Thanks to all who participated on our behalf! So when our poor craftsman started leaving mohawks in our lawn, I decided that my man needed a new one... It totally has electric start! Go big or go home... Right? We better have it forever!

First of all I have to complain about my camera... When I turn the flash off, my pictures are blurry... Any suggestions on how to fix this? Next, I'll explain the picture, this is grandma Lilly. She is 87 years old and so dang sweet! She always calls me at work to have me bring Daxton over for a visit.. The other day she called me and said, YOU DIDN'T BRING DAXTON OVER FOR MY BIRTHDAY! I had no idea it was her birthday... What a horrible grand daughter in law... :) oops! I'll have to catch up and bring him over soon!

You all may think I'm crazy for posting this but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my midwife! She is the greatest person ever! She can be well over an hour behind on her appointments and act like she has all of the time in the world for her.. She was so sweet to let me take a picture of her with Dax because we didn't get one at the hospital. Her name is Karen McBride CNM from circle of life womens center in South Ogden. If you're looking for a new Gyno.. I Highly recommend her

My dad cant get enough of this kid when he's happy... When I go to work, he comes and takes him around Vescos... Until he gets fussy.. What an awesome grandpa!

Daxton loves walks! We had just gotten home from a walk and he was so content in his stroller so I had to get a pic of his funny faces... What a cutie!

DAXTON IS ONE MONTH OLD!

We definately can't believe it! Some of my favorite things about this kid are...

~His little noises he makes in the morning. (thats the happiest time of the day for him, he just looks around bright eyed and smiling) It just melts my heart!

~Bath time... HE LOVES baths! He'll be screaming bloody murder and we put him in the water and he takes a huge breath like he's going to scream and nothing happens.. he just sits there content... It's so funny!

~He attacks his binki like he'll never have it again

~He loves to lay on our tummies... It's the easiest way to get him to sleep

These are just the ones I can think of right now... I can't believe the personality he already has! I love it!

On August 7th 2009 at 9:37am Daxton came to join us! He's so dang cute and a happy boy for the most part... We can definately tell that he's going to be spoiled rotten! He weighed 8lbs 2 oz and was 20 and a half inches long. Delivery went VERY well and he is Healthy. Here are a few pics of his time so far here on earth :)

Robinson Reunion

This past weekend we made he trek to YOST, Utah AKA middle of no where (but very beautiful) to my dads family reunion. It was really awesome to see family members that I rarely see and to catch up on the lives of those I love. Being in my current state of pregnancy we were only willing to go for the afternoon/evening on Saturday. Here are a few pics of the day...

Brian has always said he wants a horse.... I think we'll stick to motorcycles (you only have to "feed" them when you want to use them) My uncle Ben was gracious enough to bring a couple to share with all.

One huge highlight of my reunions that I have LOVED since I can remember is hearing my uncle Ed sing ar0und the camp fire. Now my cousin Chad is just as talented as his dad and they are so dang amazing and fun to listen to. I always make Brian stay till late so I can hear these two Jam out... Here are a couple of my favorite songs.. Well it would be a couple but the first one is takin FOREVER to download so heres one for now.

I first have to say that Independence Day is my FAVORITE holiday of the year... Mostly because I get a day off (along with Brian) in the middle of the summer! It's so fun to have the tasty food, good company and relaxation... This year our good pals Chase and Lindsay Smith invited us up to Bear Lake Camping. We had an awesome time in the cool mountains... Eating Raspberry shakes. Brian and Chase cooked all of our meals, so we didn't have to lift a finger! It was AWESOME! Here are some pictures from our little get away

Just a quick entry to say that I'm so excited for Daxton to be here! It seems like each day I have a new "side effect" of pregnancy, but it could be way worse for sure... I think my husband thinks I'm making these things up sometimes but that's OK.. He still seems sympathetic. We had our 32 week check up on Tuesday and our son has a HUGE head apparently! Ok not that huge of head like nothing above the 100th percentile or anything :) it is just measuring a little ahead of the rest of his body! I guess it runs in the family! I can't believe we're at 32 weeks. Time has certainly flown right by... The Nursrey is done and dang cute and the baby showers are just beginning! Thanks Lacey! I'll post again soon when I have something to really update on..

First off I would like to say that I had an awesome mothers day! Brian got me roses and a gift card to my favorite store... What an awesome man! He says I'm a mother which I totally agree with after carrying a child for seven months so far! Thats right, I have less than 3 months left! We had a doctors appointment yesterday :). Daxton is doing very well... When the doctor zoomed in on his face she said "wow, look at those cheeks!" What can I say, big cheeks run in the family! He weighs 2 lbs 9 oz. (I bet at least 6oz's are in his face :) My doctor said that I'll have to start coming in every 2 weeks after my next appointment. THIS FREAKS ME OUT!! That means he's almost here... I'm not ready to be a mom! Can't I just stay this pregnant until I decide I'm ready to have a child? Reality is totally hitting me hard! Every time I wake up in the night to go to the bathroom, I can't help but think that in a couple months I'll have to stay up and feed a crying baby... I know I know, I'll get used to it or get over it but I think I have a right to be freaked out.. Do I?

Ok back to Mothers Day. What a great holiday! My brothers and I decided to surprise our mom and all show up at her sacrament. SHE WAS SO SURPRISED! It was so awesome to see her smile like that! Then Brian went to our Marriage and Family class at our ward. We hate to miss it! After that we went to my parents house for Mothers Day dinner. My dad smoked some meat in his new smoker. IT WAS AWESOME! We had some yummy dutch oven potatos, salad and rolls. We followed it all up with a yummy Strawberry Cheesecake Triffle that I made. My mom totally scored as far as gifts go! She got a bunch of stuff for her yard. I made a list of why I Love my mom so much. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing with yall.

Holy cats! I'm 25!Yesterday was my birthday... It was a great day! When I woke up Brian had set a card with a case of my favorite drink (Orange Cream soda) that you can buy no where in Brigham and a gift card to Red Lobster! Thanks honey! For my main gift, I asked for a changing table/dresser for Daxtons room...

I had to work all day so that kind of stunk but no biggie, I am 25 afterall right?

My mom brought me some beautiful flowers from her garden for my desk, What an awesome mom huh! Thanks mom! Since I had to work on my birthday, the day before, we (my mom and I)decided to go flower shopping! I LOVE flower shopping.. more than clothes shopping! We got some way cute flowers for our yards. Thats a gift that keeps giving all summer!

After work my parents took Brian and I out to my favorite chineese restaurant Golden Dynesty and then to Farr's Ice cream. Then we went to their house for strawberry shortcake.. YUMMY! It was a pretty laid back and relaxing day. I just love birthdays! They should come more than once a year! Thanks for all of the warm Birthday wishes! Now I gotta figure out where to spend my birthday money! Whoo hoo!

Daxton Brian Westover

The Nursrey is almost finished and I've hit 24 weeks! My dad cut out some wood for me to make these blocks yesterday... I love how it turned out! We had our 4-D ultrasound yesterday and everything looks great! He weighs 1 lb 6 oz. The stubborn little guy wouldn't show us his face here's a picture of his little legs! I can't believe how much they can do now through an ultrasound.

I have a seceret tip to share with everyone... Just a warning, it is VERY random. If you know of any one with an acne problem there is a VERY simple and cheap tip to zap those zits away. 90 proof rubbing alcohol with a cotton ball once in the morining and once before bed works awesome! I have some realtives with a (genetic?) acne problem and have been through all of the crazy harsh treatments and the alcohol worked the best! You can get it at Walmart and it's like 3 bucks a bottle... YOU HAVE TO GET 90 PROOF. The 89 cents a bottle seventy something proof stuff wont work. If your face dries out, put oil free lotion on it.. It's as simple as that! Hope you're having a great SPRING BREAK!

Crib Question....

As you all know we're expecting a baby boy this August.

Well I'm shopping for a crib and I think this is my fave... There are HUNDREDS to look at! They're all online not in person so that makes it hard to know if I'm making a good choice. Anywho, I have a question for you moms out there. There are two options for the front side of cribs. Stationary or the kind that slide down. This one is stationary... Is that Good, Bad or does it even matter? Will the kid climb out as soon as he can reach or is that a problem with both... or Neither? Maybe I'm over thinking this but a little advice/input would be nice. Thanks! PS We have a name picked out.... I'll let you know in the near future! :)

We went to our twenty week appointment and the doctor confirmed that we are having.......... A BOY! We're pretty dang excited especially Brian. He's all ready to buy basketball shoes and praying he'll grow least 6 foot tall, here's to wishing honey! I'm getting ready to paint the nursrey and buy a cute crib... I think I'll get some paint tonight actually! I love to decorate! This baby stuff is fun except I'm not sure how long I'm going to fit into my clothes! Oh well, its all worth it! Have a great day!

Cancun 2009

We went to Cancun last month. It seems like we've been back forever! What a fun trip! We rented a house in a little town called Puerto Moralos, it was a sleepy little Mexican town that wasn't touristy at all, which we love! Our house was right by the beach and the sand was so smooth it was almost like flour. We had a great time to say the least....

This is the view from the front door to our house.. We were so dang spoiled!

The playground in the center of town.. We would get icecream everynight and go play on the toys.

These little racoon like animals lived right up the street by our house andwould come out once a day so we could feed them fruit...

The last 2 days Brian and I stayed by ourselves because my family had to get back sooner. We got a hotel on the beach that wasn't the nicest thing I've ever stayed in but it WAS on the beach and only $63.00 each night so oh well, we lived through it... Good memories. We just relaxed and hung out on the beach and drank some yummy pina coladas.

Brian is NOT very good at putting on sunscreen... He misses a lot of places. At least he got his toes!

We went to a botanical garden in our town walked through the jungle.. It was so beautiful!

A rope bridge over the jungle, it was kind of scary but really cool to do once in my life!

Our favorite place to eat was at a place called David Lau's they had awesome pizza.. I LOVE MEXICAN PIZZA!!!! It's just as good as New York Pizza! And they had the best Fresh Lime Aide... Yummy

One of our favorite days there was the swimming with dolphins day... Since I'm prego I couldn't do it but I had just as much fun watching Brian... He has ALWAYS wanted to swim with them!

Chichen Itza and Puerto Morelos (post #3)

The town we stayed in was called Puerto Morelos, it is a federal reserve for snorkeling because there is a huge reef. We had to wear life jackets so that we couldn't swim down and touch it. The water was so clear we could see for 30+ feet! We saw a sting rays, eels, lobster, and tons of bright beautiful fish.

The second day we went to the Chichen Itza ruins, it was so amazing to see the history of these amazing people from so long ago.

This is the market place... those columns are in PERFECT rows! It was incredible!

I think this was some sort of church... That wall looking thing in the front is actually stairs! They are so steep!

The observatory... Makes ya wonder what they were observing?

When you were young...

Brian and I were talking last night about how gullible we were when we were kids. First we started talking about how literal we took things. For example... When someone said he's in the "mission field" I thought it meant that some one was in a field waiting to go on a mission. Brian said the his dad would always say "how goes the rat race" Brian thought that there was a Rat Racing operation going on... I also thought when some one said they were "tied up at work" that they were actually tied up to their chair! Don't even get me started on the phrase Layed off... It was just a fun conversation and we were laughing our heads off. It's so nice to be married to someone I can Laugh with! I also had a babysitter that would lie to me with things like "if you leave the nintendo on when we go to the store our house will blow up" or "if someone waves at you with only 3 fingers that means they're going to kid nap you..." What a mean babysitter huh! Let me know if we're the only kids that thought like that... Share your stories

I know my husband is going to laugh at this entry but I want to document my mad driving skills. Last Saturday I had to finish up a couple loose ends for christmas... I went and ran my errands and finished in decent time. When I was finished, it was beautiful weather in riverdale so instead of fighting my way back through Ogden Christmas traffic I decided to take the freeway home... Of course it was going to be clear because the sun was shining and it was actually kind of warm. I was right... The roads we clear and DRY! So here I am cruising along past the Smith and Edwards exit and suddenly the roads aren't so dry... So I slow down as I enter a BLIZZARD!!! So I slow down ALOT more... as I'm coming around Willard Bay I notice a couple little fender benders in the opposite lane. You see, I'm always a safe follower.. I hate tailgaters even in dry warm weather so I keep my distance the best I can. OK so back to my story. All of the sudden directly in front of me I see a HUGE pile up of about 8 cars.. IN MY LANE!! Right then, My mind flashes back to being 15 years old in Mr. Jeppesens Drivers ed class "what do you do on a slick road when you can't stop?" First push on your brakes... Nope too slick. Next pump your brakes... STILL NOT WORKING!!! Now what Mr Jeppesen? The car in front of me can't stop, I can't stop. They hit the pile of cars... NOT ME! I went off roading! I'm so happy I drive a cute little Jeep Liberty with 4wd. So I swirved to miss the car and I'm heading for a fence... luckily my brakes work now! YAY! So I stop... Put it in 4 wheel drive and pull back up to the road. So then I notice my 5 senses kicking in. Sight-I see cars EVERYWHERE piled up in northbound and southbound lanes and a couple in a Suburban getting smashed over and over again as people can't stop. Smell- I smell antifreeze spewing out of smashed cars. Touch- I feel my hands shaking. Taste- Doesn't really have anything to do with this story. Hear- I hear cars around me crashing into each other. So I call my husband and I say what do I do? He says GET OUT OF THERE! People can't stop. So I go to get back on the road and people are still sliding towards me! So I go back down into the weeds on the side. Then I go to get on again and ANOTHER car is sliding towards me! After avoiding that car, a semi that is going slow lets me in and I continue on my way home passing, as you can imagine, many many ambulances and fire trucks. Moral of the story... I'm an amazing driver... I'm probably up there with the nascar guys! And. If you live in Utah have a 4 wheel drive vehicle!

There ended up being 31 cars in the pile up but not me!

I hope you all had a very enjoyable Christmas Holiday this year! I must say that The Westover Fam had a great one! Christmas Eve was a wonderful feast as usual. We went over to my parents house and had our traditional Seafood feast. We had King Crab, Coconut shrimp (my favorite part yummy!) and steak. My parents did a wonderful job putting it together as usual! We had a few added guests this year that made it extra fun. We had my adopted (kind of) sister Jen and her husband Doug and their darling little boy Dresden over they live in Montana. My grandma and grandpa Anderson and My uncle Brett were also able to join. It was so dang fun and the food was so delicious! Before dinner the girls in the family made yummy candy plates with caramels, nut balls, oreo candies, cherry cordial bars and toffee. Jen also brought some amazing Chocolate dipped macadamia nuts from their trip to Hawaii! Everything turned out perfect! While the girls made candy, the boys played X-box at Dallans house in willard...

Christmas day was just as packed as ever! We started the day off at about midnight opening Brian and I's gifts to each other. He got new snowmobile clothes, the Super Nintendo game Paper Boy and some tools. I got a shopping spree at Maurices.. My favorite store ever.. some awesome perfume, the movie happy feet, the 4th twilight book and the cutest thing ever. It's Vinyl lettering that says BABY - Tiny hands to love and hold, a tiny life to shape and mold. It is so dang cute! So after we opened gifts Brian and our pal Goose went and played paperboy untill all hours of the night and I went to bed. At 8:30 the next morning we went to my parents house and opened gifts. One of my great memories was my little brother Brad. He's 13 years old and he LOVES giving gifts! Before he opens any of the gifts for him he hands out all of the ones he got for everyone else. He is so dang cute! He gets so dang excited to see if you like the presents he picked out! He got me pajama pants with panguins with slippers, and Brian Work socks. What a cutie! We recieved a ton of awesome gifts from our family including new games and new sleeping bags! Thanks Fam! Doug, Jen and Dresden were also there to spend the morning with us. After my parents house we went to Brians Grandma Westovers house and had breakfast. It was so nice to see her and that side of the family. Then we went to Brians Uncle Gregs house and had lunch. It seemed the gifts would never stop flowing! Everyone on the Nielsen side seems to be doing well, we had some nice chats and some good times! Then one of the greatest things followed a CHRISTMAS NAP! We totally zonked out for like 3 hours and woke up refreshed! Guess what followed our nap... MORE FOOD! Isn't that what Christmas is all about! We went out to Dallan and Heathers house and had Honey Baked ham that Brians company gave him and funeral potatoes. We were going to watch a movie as a family but we were about to get snowed in... It was a blizzard! So we made our way home. What a Christmas!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE! We (at least I... I shouldn't speak for Brian) had a great weekend filled with Birthday fun. We had a friends birtrhday party on Saturday night. I made sweet pulled pork for burritos and I made a HUGE icecream cake... It was huge! It turned out pretty dang delicious though. On sunday we just relaxed after church and worked on my Mom's birthday gift with my little brothers. (We have 4 Birthdays in December) Then on monday night for Family night we went to Olive Garden to celebrate my dad's and Brians birthday with my family. Then my parents took us out on Tuesday night to Maddox for Brians Birthday with just us... It was way fun! Thanks Mom and Dad! So on Brians actual Birthday we were pretty much Birthday'd out so I just gave him his gifts (a 4th gear for his mini bike, and one of his favorite movies Jack Frost...) and we stayed home and ordered pizza and watched the Jazz game and Kung Foo Panda. It was a great night to say the least... He needed a break from his many nightly side jobs lately. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY! I LOVE YOU!

1- I have a box addiction? When I was in college I had to move like twice a year which requires boxes right? Well when youre in college moving, everyone else is moving at the exact same time and there is not one available box in the whole city of Logan for a whole week! So I always ended up spending precious money on plastic totes. So now when I see a box I just want to take it home and hoard it... I see a box as so "perfect" for moving even though I've been in my house for 2 years and have no plans on moving any time soon!

2- When I clean I have to do all or nothing so if I don't have the time or energy to do all of it, I won't start... That explains why my house is a mess so often!

3- When I cook I make a disaster... I can't keep everything on one counter. I have to spread out different parts of the recipe in different areas of my kitchen.

4- I can't kill bugs. They have feelings I swear. If there is a spider in my house, I get toilet paper and pick it up... Then I put it in the toilet and hope it survives when I flush it. Same with all insects... Bees- I'll catch in a cup and let go outside... And this quirk is just the same with animals! I'm so happy that Brian isn't a hunter!

5-When I wrap my Christmas gifts I have to have them all wrapped in different family catergories... and all of the catergories all have to match my "tree theme" Like this year I have a Santa tree so... Brians family gifts are wrapped in chubby santas with green back ground. My family is white background with santas and christmas trees. Brians gifts are green with skinny santas and friends are old santas with stars... I know.. I get WAY TOO INVOLVED in my wrapping, but hey it looks cute and goes along with the christmas tree decor!

6-I'll buy anything if I get a deal! No matter how bad I don't need it... At my work I get a great discount on the stuff we sell... I probably wouldn't normally spend $100.00 on a jacket for Brian but since it's normally $200.00 I have to buy it.... It's so bad that I have to regulate my checks sometimes...

Thanksgiving 2007

Last year for Thanksgiving we went to Zihuatinejo Mexico with my family. It was so much fun and the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life. It's a little fishing town in southern Mexico. One of our favorite things to do was to go down to the town each night and watch the locals play basketball and volleyball while eating ice cream ( we love Mexican Ice Cream!) We spent eight days there snorkeling, surfing, chilling on the beach and EATING. We couldn't believe how yummy the fresh sea food was there. Even the Chinese food was ten times better in Mexico! One of my favorite memories was watching the locals release baby sea turtles into the ocean in the evenings... They were so dang tiny and cute! I hope to be able to go back one day!

Brian in his vacation shirt at our hotel.. One downfall to our hotel was that it was on the side of a mountain so there were stairs everywhere! There were 200 stairs from our room to my parents.. It was a hot and sweaty trip to say the least!

The first night we were there, we were walking back to our hotel from dinner and it was dark. When all of the sudden in the moonlight we see a figure of a crocodile running in front of my husband.... It coundn't be a croc could it? YES IT COULD... There was a crocodile reserve on our beach!!! A little freaky... They like salt water and fresh water... Who knew?

I got to hold a baby Crocodile... It was crazy!

Ok, I realize these blogs are kind of out of order but I since I'm new to blogging I want to catch up on the last couple months. In tribute to the upcoming election and our trip last March to NYC we decided to dress AMERICAN! I Love Halloween! We had our annual Halloween party with our pals and had a great time as usual!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!!

This weekend Brian was gracious enough to put up Christmas Lights on our house. The past couple years we have had really cute red and green icicle lights... one downfall, we live in Brigham City and the wind blows a lot in the winter.... Icicle lights don't like the wind. As I was going through them to see which ones worked I had problems with like 1/2 the strands. Brian saw that I was a little flustered so he said I could buy new lights! What a good man! So I switched it up.. no more icicles! I went with the good old bulbs around the top of the house and green mini lights around the garage and door and window. It looks so dang cute! So cute that Brian lets me turn them on at night... Even though Thanksgiving hasn't even come yet! Yipee!!! I love Christmas and I love Christmas lights! Thanks Bri! Now I can set up my Santa Tree!

Why I love my husband

I feel like Brian hasn't been himself lately with the stresses of life. So I got this idea from Kristen and I hope it's ok... Here goes nothin!
Why I love you…
1. I love you because you put up with me! Thanks!
2. I love you because you’ll try my new recipe’s and brag to all of your friends about my cooking.
3. I love you because you never fail to support me and all of my crazy ideas.. especially after I beg and bring them up over and over again
4. I love you because you know how much I love your goatee even though it probably bugs you more than it’s worth
5. I love you because you are such a hard worker and will never be lazy… ever
6. I love you because you find joy in the small things of life that most people never even notice
7. I love you because you make me laugh… a lot.
8. I love you because so many people look up to you including me
9. I love you because you’re a great friend to all of your buddies no matter how not so good of a friend they are sometimes
10. I love you because you never settle for last place in any aspect of your life
11. I love you because even though you have had so many trials and hard times in your life your not afraid to face the future
12. I love you because when you play with little kids you become a little kid yourself and aren’t afraid who’s watching
13. I love you because what would a Vacation be like without someone to keep my spending under control J
