Once there was a Snowman

We had our first big snow storm of the year a couple weeks ago. Brian was so excited to come home and build a snowman with Dax! As soon as Dax heard he had a chance to go out in the snow he was so excited! He didn’t want to wait for daddy to come home so we got his snow clothes on and he went out and made foot prints in the snow until dad could get home from work. Faith and I watched the snowman building from the toasty van. I think it turned out fantastic! wouldn’t you agree?

Day 20

Day 20: I’m thankful for talents. Both mine and others that are shared with me. I’m thankful that where my talents lack, other peoples talents can pick up the slack!

Day 19

Day 19: Support. Ok, ok, not that kind of support (although I am thankful for it, but it’s not my post for today) I’m so thankful that I have such a great support system in my life. Whether it be my sweet husband, my mom, grandmas, sisters in law or wonderful friends, I have so many people to go to, to help me through sticky and fantastic situations in my life!
THANK YOU ALL!!!

Day 18

Day 18: I am so thankful for transportation. Whether it be our vehicles, busses, trains or airplanes. We are so lucky to be able to get from one place to another conveniently!

Day 17

Day 17: I’m thankful for Chocolate... need I say more?

Day 16

Day 16: I’m Thankful for health. I’m so thankful that we have had minimal (in my eyes) health problems. Along with health, I’m grateful for doctors and hospitals. Faith got ear tubes today. I’m so happy there is a way to help her have relief from her chronic ear infections! I’m so relieved that Daxtons asthma is getting more predictable so that I know when and how to help him. We are blessed with so many great Dr’s in our area!

 Before Surgery
 After Surgery
And a sweet picture of Dax sleeping with his Shark mittens on :)

Day 15

Day 15: I’m Thankful for appliances... I know, kind of random! I was thinking today how much longer it would take me to get things cleaned, cooked, ironed (like I iron) etc. Without appliances. It’s so nice to just throw some ingredients in my kitchen aide and tudaa! Cookie dough, then through them in my oven and wah-la cookies! All while my dishwasher is washing my dishes, my washer/dryer are getting my clothes clean/dry and at the same time my gas fireplace is making my home toasty warm...  Don't even get me started on my fridge and microwave :-).What would our world be like without them!

Day 14

Day 14: I’m thankful for Jeni. This girl is like my sister. She came into my life in such a random way and she has been a part of it ever since. I love that I can say anything to her. She always is so relatable and has the best advice. We don’t get to talk or see each other very often but when we do, we don’t skip a beat, it’s as if we were never apart. I’m also grateful for her awesome husband, Doug. We get to see him even less, but he’s one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. He tells it how it is, people like them are hard to find these days!
They also have the two cutest little boys! I pray that one day they will be able to live close to us again!

Day 13

Day 13: I’m Thankful for friends. Friends are what carry you through life in my opinion... They are the release from every day life that help you smile. I have the opportunity to get together with some of the greatest girls in the world every month and to just let loose. I feel like when I get home, I’m a better mom and wife. I have so many friends that I’ve gotten to know through the years.
(I don’t have pictures of everyone... I wish I did!)

Day 12

Day 12: I’m thankful for grandparents. I have had the opportunity to know my grandparents very well. They have been a HUGE part of my life. They have taught me so much about life and love. I loved when I had the chance to go stay with them as I was growing up. I have also had the opportunity to get to know “new” grandparents when I married Brian. They have also taught me so much in the time I spent with them. It’s so nice to be able to have people to look up to that have been through similar situations in their lives! I’m SOOO grateful the my kids have the chance to get to know some of their great-grandparents.

Day 11

Day 11: Today I’m thankful for Brian’s family. I often don’t give them enough credit. They are some of the most kind and generous people you will meet. They will give you the shirt off their back if you’re in need and are so special to me. I’m especially grateful to them because they made Brian the person he is today!

Day 10

Day 10: Today I’m thankful for my husbands job. I’m thankful for his willingness to provide for our family. In this tough economy I know lots of families are going through rough times. I’m extra grateful that he hasn’t had to worry about getting laid off! What a blessing it is to be (somewhat) financially stable!

Day 9

Day 9: I’m Thankful for Temples. I love Temples, I love what they stand for, I love what we do in them, I love their beauty, I love that I was able to be sealed to my family in one. I’m so grateful that we have a Temple in Brigham City. I took my kids to take pictures on the temple grounds yesterday (which I’m so glad I went yesterday instead of today! It’s been snowing ALL day today)

Day 8

Day 8: I am so Thankful for Vacations. Brian and I have had many opportunities to travel (mostly before we had kids). We have seen so many fun, mostly tropical, places. Whether we’ve vacationed across the world or an hour away, I’m so grateful that we have made so many fun memories together. Here are some pictures of a few of the places we have had the chance to go.
